Time for a break

What time is it? It’s time to take a break from the blog. Wait a minute, if I am writing about taking time off from the blog, isn’t that still blogging? I guess, I’m keeping my goal to write every day for 30 days is still going strong.

I have been checking the other blogs of our Meet Up group and I believe I am the only one who has consistently written a blog each day, but the second half of the month will be a bit tough because of a lot of things happening at work (a dinner event this week and getting a newsletter ready) and I go on vacation beginning the 23rd.

It’s been a long time since my brother and I have gone on a vacation, and although we are not making a big trip, we will be heading to Lake Tahoe for a few days, with a stop at Apple Hill on the way back. My brother and I have different days off, so it can be tough to schedule activities, but we will be celebrating his 50th birthday, so I thought this would be a fun time to explore the area.

We would both love to travel to other states and countries, but we just can’t afford it. Instead, we take smaller day trips. I have a childhood friend who now lives in Australia. She has invited us to visit, but I don’t see it happening in the near future. However, if I am lucky enough to win the lotto or hit a jackpot at Thunder Valley then I can start planning that trip. I can’t even remember the last time I bought a Lotto ticket, and my big spending on the slots is usually $20, when I do make it out there. Sometimes it just takes I spin of the slot machine wheel to hit a jackpot. Someone plays $2 and wins $10,000. I’m ready to be that person.

I will be looking forward to the 23rd, when it’s time for a break!! I guess I did have something to write about today.

  1. You're right...you're the only one who has written every day! It's such an inspiration. Any luck on the lanyard conversations? I've really enjoyed reading your material. Keep it coming! :-) I hope you win that jackpot too.

  2. I was going strong and then...missed a few days. Does it count that I think about it everyday? I have very much enjoyed it and it has been good for me. I enjoy reading your posts!! Thanks for setting the bar high!!
